The Pope & Young Club is a membership-based, 501(c)3 non-profit organization: a fraternity of like-minded, dedicated bowhunters—men, women and youth—committed to the principles of the Club. Any bowhunter, who has pursued the challenge of bowhunting long enough to have taken at least one North American big game animal with a bow (not necessarily a “record book” animal) may join the Club as an Associate Member.
Membership is entirely separate and unrelated to the Records, which is one of the programs maintained by the Club. Annual membership is $35.00.
Members Receive:
- Membership certificate
- Membership card
- Club decal
- Four quarterly, full-color newsletters
- Formal invitations to the biennial conventions and membership meetings
- Up-to-date information on Club-supported projects, programs and activities
Most important, though, a bowhunter’s membership can be a singularly important and fundamental demonstration of support for the protection of our bowhunting heritage and the promotion of fair chase and ethics in bowhunting.

The Club has a very unique membership structure designed to reward both longevity as a Club supporter and longevity as an active and dedicated bowhunter/conservationist. Over time, members can advance to later membership levels—Regular Member and Senior Member. Details concerning the qualifications and procedures for advancement can be obtained in the Members Only area of this web site.
Lifetime Associate Membership is also available for $500. This is available either to existing Associate Members wishing to renew at this designation or to someone just joining the Club. Because of our unique membership structure, this is not a true “lifetime” membership. There is still the ability for someone to advance to Regular Membership (and then on to Senior Membership), should they choose to do so. Lifetime Associate Members will possess all the benefits of Associate Membership for as long as they live, unless they resign, are removed as a member by Board action, or advance to Regular Membership. In the event of any of these cases, the paid membership fee is forfeited. Benefits include ongoing Associate Membership without having to annually pay dues, a Lifetime Associate Member engraved plaque, ongoing receipt of the Club’s newsletters and information on Club activities and events.
